After soaking in the serene ambiance of Lake Viverone, it's time to hop back on your bike and begin the return journey to Ivrea.

From Ivrea start climbing up to Chiaverano village and from there down along the Serra into the woods, to Vermogno and across the Bessa Park. Then up to Sandigliano on country roads. Along the way you will ride by Lake Sirio with splendid views of the Ivrea moraine amphitheatre, Serra Morenica and Cossavella pond. Miniere d'oro della Bessa, The mine area, the archaeological evidence of which dates back to the 2nd - 1st century B.C., with traces of earlier frequentation represented largely by erratic boulders with rock carvings, consists of two terraces of fluvioglacial origin, covered, in the upper terrace by piles of pebbles and in the lower terrace by sands and gravels, remnants of washing for metal mining.
